With the new century, Tecfrigo takes on the industrial character of today: a 15,000sqm production plant with warehouses, design departments, testing laboratories and offices.
A sales network extending to over 80 countries with distributors capable of guaranteeing excellent customer service and agents committed to understanding the needs of the market and responding to increasingly custom and on-demand supply requests; a strong commitment to research and development and to sustainability issues where Tecfrigo continues to do more and better than many other producers.
Thousands of customers today use Tecfrigo professional refrigerators around the world, recognizing the company as an undisputed quality leader in the most important dimensions: construction solidity and design, optimal cooling and operation performance over time, durability and minimal maintenance needs, first-rate customer service, energy efficiency and sustainability.
Over the last twenty years, Tecfrigo has consolidated its management structure with the Soliani brothers, who have always been committed – as their father taught them – to keeping a growing company “with its feet on the ground”, in other words on the track of full economic and financial sustainability.

THE ART OF FOOD PRESERVATION

Food preservation isn’t just a matter of complying with HACCP standards, which specify the storage temperatures for various foods that everyone must ensure to preserve their organoleptic and nutritional properties.
Our decade has seen a growing consumer focus on fresh and ultra-fresh foods, which has multiplied the product categories on sale and packaging techniques: fresh-cut fruit and vegetables, deli products in ATMs, ready-to-eat meals in HPP… just to name a few.
Added to this are the “specialized” needs: humidity regulation for maturing meats, variable LED color temperature for pastries, rapid thermal rebalancing (pull down) and efficient ventilation for large-scale retail refrigerators, opened thousands of times a day.
For all these reasons—and to ensure consumers’ safety and quality—Tecfrigo considers food preservation a constantly evolving science and art, which must guide the search for increasingly targeted, efficient, and sustainable solutions. And in the near future, it will need to expand its horizons with “refrigeration machines” capable of also managing nutritional and promotional communications to consumers.

Tecfrigo has among the widest and most complete offerings on the market to meet the needs of the HoReCa and self-service sectors, with self-standing, countertop, and drop-in machines for fresh and frozen products, for organized distribution, or for served counters. Machines are designed, manufactured, and tested to guarantee the highest performance standards in relation to their specialization in terms of temperature stability, humidity control, healthy internal environment, ease of loading and cleaning, durability and simple maintenance.
Tecfrigo’s professional refrigerators are manufactured both in-house and in collaboration with a carefully selected and controlled supply chain of technology, component, and finished product suppliers with whom the company has worked for years.
All best-selling models are shipped within a few days of receiving the order, and even products with customizations not included in the price list are guaranteed to be delivered within 5-6 weeks. Each order is managed in compliance with the most advanced quality assurance and testing standards on the market.

THE OBSESSION WITH QUALITY

Aligning a door to the nearest tenth of a millimeter, testing its opening and closing 20,000 times, checking the thermodynamic efficiency of every new product for three months, testing every machine at the end of the production line with automated tests before issuing its “passport”… For Tecfrigo, all of this is normal; it’s an established practice in its quality policies.
Likewise, for Tecfrigo, using only Italian and European-made compressors and sustainable gases, preferring triple glazing, building laser-cut frames and chassis, developing IoT technology for remote monitoring of machine efficiency, using only triple-wall packaging… just to name a few.

ZERO DEFAULTS, LONG LIFE

A professional refrigerator generates value in direct proportion to its lifespan at full efficiency. Tecfrigo refrigerators typically last 10 years, but the longest-lasting and best-maintained ones have exceeded 30 years.
The sources of this “resilience” are many: the quality materials and components with which they are built, the testing of each individual appliance before delivery, the care taken in packaging and shipping, the expertise with which its distributors teach simple maintenance procedures, and the quality of the installation and maintenance manuals in 12 languages, now also available online for each of the units the company has produced over the last 10 years. An advanced cloud-based solution is already operational, allowing you to register your appliance online and entrust Tecfrigo and its local distributor with remote monitoring of its proper functioning, with automatic reporting, including through the app. This is an important service for ensuring a long life cycle and zero defaults.

THE HABIT OF BEING FIRST

Tecfrigo’s history has seen numerous “evolutionary leaps” that demonstrate the importance of innovation and the company’s natural habit of being “first.”
➢ In 2010, the first low-temperature freezer capable of reaching -60°C was introduced.
➢ In 2013, Girotondo was launched, the first Salad Bar with a rotating display surface.
➢ In 2015, the Tiffany drop-in line was launched, allowing hot and cold food to be combined in a single buffet setup.
➢ In the following two years, Tecfrigo introduced the first “Dry Aged” display cabinets for “on-view” aging of meat, with programmable control of humidification and dehumidification cycles.
➢ The first 4-glass refrigerated display case with R290 thermodynamics was presented in 2017.
➢ The following year saw the introduction of temperature-adjustable LED lighting systems and amber-colored wine storage systems.
But from 2020 onwards, Tecfrigo accelerated, despite the pandemic, and in four years, other important innovations arrived, first and foremost the adoption of inverter technology to reduce energy consumption and noise, and WiFi control units for remotely monitoring machine operation and maintenance.

The display of fresh food products is now an art: it must seduce our senses and anticipate the pleasure of taste, give full visibility to the mastery of the producer, reassure the customer of the product’s quality, and entice them to purchase.

This is why Tecfrigo has been dedicating the utmost attention to its drop-in lines and the development of designer appliances that serve and inspire consumers while also contributing to a contemporary and distinctive feel to the point of sale.

SUSTAINABILITY

Tecfrigo was among the first companies in the world to use R290 fluid in 2017, an odorless, non-toxic propane gas whose excellent thermodynamic properties ensure significant energy savings with no ozone depletion. Today, Tecfrigo uses only R290 and R600 gases.
The energy and thermodynamic efficiency of Tecfrigo appliances is also enhanced by the increasingly widespread use of inverter technology, which transforms AC into modulating DC, optimizing the operation of the compressor and condenser fans, reducing electricity consumption by up to 30%, and significantly reducing the noise level of refrigeration appliances.
Tecfrigo also pays utmost attention to waste disposal and recycling. Some of its models are now over 90% recyclable. Furthermore, the packaging used contains less than 1% plastic, favoring the extensive use of FSC cardboard and recycled wood paneling.

FROM THE PAST TO TODAY

1980

Tecfrigo, an Italian family-run company, is founded.

1981

The Snelle model, one of the company's most successful products, was created and launched.

2001

A new brand, Frostemily, was created to complement the entire Tecfrigo and Cold Master offering. Entry-level products, but with the same quality as always.

2010

Tecfrigo is present in over 70 countries. The company operates from two buildings covering a total production area of over 15,000 square meters.

2016

It was a year of major change; the shareholders decided to adapt the company to the rapidly changing market. Tecfrigo transformed itself in every area, from production to marketing, from sales to a campaign to relaunch and reaffirm the brand.

2017-2019

The company presents new price lists with a renewed product range. Presence in over 85 countries, expansion into Asia.

2020-2021

The Covid-19 pandemic is impacting the entire world; scenarios are changing, and the company is adapting quickly to stay in business despite all the uncertainties and challenges.

2022-2023

In a still uncertain market, Tecfrigo continues its renewal, returning to its roots with an ever-increasing focus on flagship products, particularly vertical display cases.
